The consultation SMI V 11 on HIV screening and confirmation has been reissued
The UK Standards for Microbiology Investigations V11 was developed by Public Health England (PHE) working with the National Health Service (NHS), Public Health Wales and other professional organisations, including the IBMS.
This UK SMI was renamed from the previous title V 11: Anti HIV screening, and pertains to HIV screening and confirmation, outlining the possible tests that could be used for HIV diagnosis, as well as confirmation results. The full document and users’ comments can be found online.
