Upcoming Event: IBMS London Scientific Meeting

On 28th July, the London region of the IBMS will be holding a scientific meeting at Gordon Museum Guys Hospital
Beginning at 6.00pm for refreshments, the meeting will feature a lecture by Gordon Museum Guys Hospital curator Bill Edwards at 7pm. The lecture is entitled, “Surviving Trauma – Past and Present” and will examine a selection of different medical approaches over time, before and after the advent of Lister's antiseptic techniques and the use of anaesthesia.
The lecture will also examine various roadside traffic injuries and explore the ways modern medicine copes with the escalating degrees of physical trauma that are experienced by motorists.
