Cambridge University Hospitals launch new pathology training centre

Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) has launched a new service to train healthcare professionals in administering blood and other clinical tests

The Pathology Clinical Support Training Centre, in Newmarket, offers a wide range of high-quality training services including phlebotomy, cannulation and catheterisation. A number of bespoke courses are also available to help health practitioners responsible for supporting patients with point-of-care testing services.

Tracey Murray, pathology training centre lead, said:

“We are delighted to launch our new Pathology Clinical Support Training Centre. Our new centre offers the most comprehensive training programme for pathology in the east of England, including clinical support and point-of-care testing services. It means that we can ensure that healthcare professionals have access to high-quality training to enable them to offer the very best in patient care."
