Get involved in public engagement

Each year we encourage our members to take part in public engagement events in their local communities, as this is a great way for members to inspire future generations of biomedical scientists.

Did you know we receive almost 200 requests a year for promotional materials? This is a free service we give to our members. To ensure we get all the necessary details from our members, we’ve changed the way we handle these requests and have provided some helpful guides.

IBMS members wanting to request materials need to log onto the IBMS website and see our request for promotional materials page. To complete your promotional materials request you will need to fill out:

• Our online request form
• Our News Pro-Forma for a news story
• Photo/video consent form

Please note, without these forms completed, we will be unable to process your request. We can only support requests within the UK with 5 working days’ notice, and require 10 days’ notice if this event is outside the UK.

Unfortunately we cannot support requests from non-IBMS members. We do however have some free resources which you can download, including posters, leaflets and PowerPoint presentations.
