IBMS Manchester Branch AGM 2022

"This was our first face-to-face AGM in a long time. It was great to interact with all members who attended", comments Zonya Jeffrey.

We were graced by the one and only Sarah May, IBMS Deputy Chief Executive, who gave us a very informative talk on Advanced Clinical Practice; the practicalities and the politics. The IBMS Manchester branch would like to thank Sarah for taking the time to come up to sunny Manchester to engage with our branch members!

We were also happy to host the MMU MSc poster prize winner, Lynda Bowes, who gave us an insight into her master’s project. The project detailed an assessment of the utility of CD15, CD16 and CD56 in evaluating dysplasia severity in Myelodyplastic Syndromes. The full poster can be viewed here.

Amongst presentations from the other branch committee members, and a poll to see how much our attendees learnt during the session, the evening ended with round-table scientific discussions alongside a delicious dinner at Zouk restaurant. Thank you all for attending!
