IBMS member becomes Stonewall Young Leader

Rory Miles, a Research Scientist for Public Health England, has become one of Stonewall's Young Leaders for 2015.

Rory Miles, a Research Scientist for Public Health England, has achieved the title of Stonewall Young Leader 2015.

The Stonewall Programme is a leadership course designed to bring together and empower the next generation of LGBT leaders and role models.

The Stonewall Young Leader programme encourages future leaders to feel confident about being a positive LGBT role model in the workplace, something which Rory believes has given him "a feeling of being proud of my differences" and will enable him to be "a good leader in any team I may work in".

The IBMS interviewed Rory about becoming a role model for LGBT biomedical scientists, and the progress which has been made in promoting diversity in STEM professions.
