Manchester Pride 2022

Celebrating Pride 2022 with the IBMS Manchester branch.
IBMS representatives from hospitals in Bolton, Manchester and Wythenshawe donned their lab coats with #PRIDE to join in the march for peace. They really were our #ibmspride and joy.
Daniel Fishwick (UHSM), a trainee biomedical scientist and on the University of Salford apprenticeship scheme shares his experience here:
“Myself and my fellow colleagues marched the streets for Manchester’s first Pride IBMS appearance! It was exciting, vibrant and a joy to represent the behind-the-scenes scientists. The support from the public and their love of science was inspiring. Since moving to Manchester, I am fortunate to work alongside a diverse team that are paving the future for inclusion. The Pride march raised awareness and promoted our beloved profession for the future of Biomedical science.”
