Scottish biomedical scientists win poster prize
Claire Richardson and her collgeaues won a joint first prize for her poster submission to the Scottish Healthcare Scientist National event held in Edinburgh.
The event, the 2015 Scottish Healthcare Science National Conference NDP 2015 – Contribution is Key, set out actions the healthcare science profession could take to deliver the future vision for the NHS.
100 delegates from across Scotland joined the lively day at COSLA in Edinburgh including a keynote presentation from Jacqui Lunday Johnstone OBE, Chief Health Professions Officer at the Scottish Government.
The poster prize was a joint first prize between the team from NHS Lanarkshire for Blood Science Service Transformation (Claire Richardson, BMS2; Jacqueline McGuire Consultant Clinical Scientist, Janice McNicol Technical Lead Biochemistry, Betty Kyle, Technical Lead Haematology, Evelyn McEwan, Core Laboratory Technical Manager) and the team from the Medical Physics Department, Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for Reducing staff radiation dose in Gastroenterology (Christina Stewart and Nicola MacDonald).
