Enjoying your CPD

Enjoying your CPD
2 March 2023
We know the CPD can be a bit of a chore for many. Hopefully the following tips will help you out.

Five Top Tips to Managing Your CPD

1. Give yourself time - make notes during the activity or ask permission to record the activity. Afterwards, put aside some time for you to reflect on your notes/ recordings and write your reflective learning statement.

2. It’s good to talk! – Discuss the CPD activity with fellow attendees/ participants. Sharing thoughts and ideas may help when writing your own reflections.

3. Are you involved in training staff or students? - remember to reflect on and record your experiences.

4. Reading social media articles count! Only if they are relevant to your field of working. Twitter opens you up to a plethora of articles relating to biomedical science. Get reading, retweeting and reflecting!

5. Know your service users - Patients are not the only service users! Service users can be anybody from clinical personnel to contractors and suppliers.
